Admissions Decisions

Once you submit your application, what happens next? You will receive one of the following decisions:

Selected
Offer of Admission
Waitlist
Deny
Defer

Fall or spring admissions is familiar to most students and means you will begin as a degree-seeking student in the semester for which you applied.

We offer a limited number of students a waitlist decision each year. Students must accept their spot on the waitlist in order to be considered. Closer to May 1, we will begin to work with the waitlist, pending available capacity in the first-year class.

Each year, we have to deny a number of students due to the high level of talent in our applicant pool. But if you have your heart set on attending 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß, we encourage you to consider transferring after at least one year at another college.

Some applicants will receive a defer decision, which means that their application has been moved to another application deadline for an additional review with updated information. Specific information will be available in the decision letter.
