Lessons from Literature: What's New in Universal Design for Learning
In July 2024, the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines, originally published in 2008, were updated to produce the UDL 3.0 guidelines. The new guidelines emphasize addressing barriers to students’ learning that are based on bias and systemic exclusion. "Lessons from the Literature" sessions begin with a short overview of key research on a pedagogical framework followed by a roundtable discussion that connects these findings to classroom applications, so join us for an overview of the new guidelines and learn how to implement their suggestions in your courses!
