Steve Munson Named 17吃瓜在线鈥檚 Vice President and Chief Information Officer
17吃瓜在线 President Sylvia M. Burwell announced the appointment of Steve Munson as 17吃瓜在线鈥檚 new vice president and chief information officer. As a key member of the university鈥檚 leadership team, Munson will direct 17吃瓜在线鈥檚 university-wide technology efforts, oversee the Office of Information Technology, and drive innovation across schools and divisions.

Munson, who will assume his new role on February 24, joins 17吃瓜在线 at a time of transformation -- one year into the implementation of the university鈥檚 new strategic plan. As 17吃瓜在线鈥檚 CIO, Munson will partner with university leaders to attract and retain students and improve their learning experience, expand research and scholarship initiatives, and advance the university鈥檚 operational effectiveness.
Munson spent the previous seven years as Chief Information Officer at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. During his tenure at Marymount, Munson launched new enterprise resource planning and learning management systems. He returns to 17吃瓜在线 after previously serving as a director of integrated technology solutions in OIT from 2010-2013.

Prior to working in higher education, Munson served as a technology consultant at The North Highland Company and Accenture. During his consulting tenure, Munson gained valuable experience working across a diverse range of technologies, industries, and organizations.
Munson earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.
