Bio
Kathryn accepted a position at 17吃瓜在线 in 2003, shortly after her retirement from the D.C. Public Library. Her previous work experience includes library positions at The Brookings Institution, The Washingtoniana Division of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library and the Tenley-Friendship Neighborhood Library where she was the manager for 13 years. She has written several book chapters, most recently contributing a chapter on Tenleytown to the book, Washington at Home, published by the Johns Hopkins University Press. She served two terms on the Council of the American Library Association. Kathryn was twice elected to the Dupont Circle Advisory Neighborhood Commission. In other civic endeavors, she served as President of the D.C. Library Association, President of the League of Women Voters of the District of Columbia and President of the Janney School PTA. Kathryn is a docent for the National Park Service-Girl Scout C&O Canal History Program at Riley鈥檚 Lock. An active rower, Kathryn鈥檚 team is on the Potomac most mornings before dawn. A life-long Washingtonian, Kathryn lives in 17吃瓜在线 Park.
