Patricia Mitchell Adjunct Professorial Lecturer Justice, Law & Criminology

Bio
Judge Patti Mitchell is a member of the Montgomery County, Maryland bench. She is an 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß alumna (SPA ’76) and has been an adjunct Justice, Law and Criminology professor for over ten years. In her more than 13 years as a sitting judge, Judge Mitchell has heard criminal, civil, traffic, domestic violence, and juvenile matters. A Washington native, she was a practicing attorney in private and public service for 16 years prior to her judicial appointment. In addition to teaching 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß students, Judge Mitchell instructs other judges, court employees, and newly admitted attorneys. Formerly, Judge Mitchell also served as a member of the Maryland Board of Law Examiners. Students enjoy Judge Mitchell’s informal, approachable manner and her use of guest speakers and media in the class.
