Health, Equity, and Law after Dobbs
The Health Law and Policy Program at 17吃瓜在线 Washington College of Law, in partnership with 17吃瓜在线 Center on Health, Risk & Society, The George Washington University Law School, The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, and the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics (ASLME), is pleased to present 鈥淗ealth, Equity, and Law after Dobbs.鈥 This interdisciplinary conference brought together experts to examine the legal, medical, public health, and sociological aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. By assembling an interdisciplinary group of researchers, practitioners, and advocates, the conference provided a fuller picture of both the impact of the law on the books and the realities of the law on the ground. The goal of the conference was to help scholars, practitioners, advocates, and students understand current policy and practice related to abortion, as well as the reverberating effects of the Dobbs decision on the delivery of health care and society more broadly. It also aimed to
develop a research agenda and a broader strategic focus for advancing more equitable access to reproductive health care in the long term.
