Sophia Wick is a senior undergraduate student at 17吃瓜在线 majoring in Psychology and minoring in Education and Spanish. Her research interests include child development and parenting broadly, as well as the impact of modeling on development. This is her third year in the Emotions and Positive Psychology Lab, and she is excited to continue exploring moral injury and how it affects people鈥檚 daily lives. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, participating in 17吃瓜在线鈥檚 dance club 17吃瓜在线 in Motion, and exploring DC.
Braley Haviland is a senior undergraduate student at 17吃瓜在线 graduating in May 2025 with a major in Political Science and Psychology. She is currently working on her honors psychology capstone research project exploring moral disengagement in legal professionals. She intends to pursue a JD following graduation. When not working in the lab, Braley enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and going to the gym.
Finley Totten is a third-year psychology major at 17吃瓜在线. She is originally from Rhode Island, where she discovered her love of psychology in high school. She is most interested in emotion regulation and well-being. Finley is looking forward to assisting with research in the lab and gaining more knowledge on research methods. In her free time, Finley enjoys reading, singing, and watching bad reality TV with her roommate.
Lauren Woodard is a first year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at 17吃瓜在线 with an interest in how beliefs about emotion inform emotion response processes. Lauren graduated from the University of Vermont, with a B.A. in Psychological Science and a minor in English. She then worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Boston University's Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders, where she contributed to projects related to the Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games, cooking with friends, and being outdoors!
Amy Berger is a second year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at 17吃瓜在线 with a research interest in the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. Amy graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA - where she studied Clinical Psychology and Philosophy. After graduating, Amy worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a research coordinator for the HEAL initiative, an NIH-funded project for preventing the development of opioid use disorder. In this lab, Amy is examining the relationship between alcohol-related shame and motivation for change, as well as factors contributing to moral disengagement. When she is not writing her master's thesis, Amy enjoys running, hiking, and baking cookies.
Ally Fuchs is a Master鈥檚 student in Psychology at 17吃瓜在线 with research interests centered around emotion regulation, socioemotional well-being, and self-attitudes in adolescents and emerging adults, especially among individuals who have ADHD. Currently, Ally is analyzing data from her master鈥檚 thesis study on the effect of a self-compassion writing exercise on procrastination and self-criticism in college students with ADHD. When not working on her thesis, Ally enjoys baking, reading, hiking, and listening to music.
